Takut terjadi sesuatu pada anaknya, Etik kemudian membawa Samara ke
Puskesmas. Saat itu, Etik diberi obat salep untuk mengurangi bekas
gigitan tersebut.
Namun, bekas gigitan kutu kucing di jari manis Samara justru membengkak dan sering menangis kesakitan.
Etik Susilowati (29) tak menyangka jari tangan putrinya, Samara, terancam diamputasi setelah digigit kutu kucing.
Hal itu diketahui Etik setelah membawa Samara ke Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Muwardi.
Saat itu, menurut Etik, seandainya kondisi jari tangan putrinya masih bengkak dan warnanya memerah, disarankan untuk diamputasi.

Sebelumnya, Etik sudah berusaha memeriksakan putrinya ke beberapa rumah sakit, namun jari tangan Samara tak kunjung sembuh.
Etik menceritakan, Samara pernah disarankan untuk melakukan rontgen dan ultrasonography (USG).
Namun, karena keterbatasan ekonomi keuarganya, Etik belum bisa melakukan permintaan dokter tersebut.
Etik sendiri di rumah tidak bekerja, sedangkan suaminya, Wanto (30), hanya bekerja sebagai seorang kuli bangunan.
Menurut Etik, kondisi jari tangan kanan putrinya bengkak. Samara juga juga menjadi sering mengeluh sakit di tangannya dan demam.
Selain itu, Etik melihat muncul benjolan di alis, dahi, ketiak, bawah telinga, dan pantat anaknya.
Samara sempat diminta untuk rawat inap, namun belum mendapatkan kamar, maka Samara harus rawat jalan.
"Sekarang anaknya rawat jalan di rumah. Kadang ada dokter dari Puskesmas
datang ke rumah untuk memeriksa kondisi anak saya," jelas dia.
Hingga usia 11 bulan, Etik pun tak berhenti untuk mencari cara
menyembuhkan putrinya. Sepekan sekali, Samara harus kontrol ke rumah
sakit.
Setiap kali kontrol tidak dipungut biaya, karena Etik menggunakan BPJS. Hanya saja untuk menebus obatnya harus membayar sendiri.
Total sekali kontrol tersebut biaya untuk membayar obatnya mencapai Rp
300.000. Jumlah tersebut untuk satu salep dan obat antibiotik yang
digunakan untuk mencegah dan mengatasi infeksi bakteri.
Kabar terkini, balita yang digigit kutu kucing itu akhirnya meninggal dunia.
Sebelum meninggal dunia, Samara Kumaira Mariba, balita asal Sragen, Jawa
Tengah, yang digigit kutu kucing mengalami panas tinggi dan muntah.
Menurut ayah Samara, Wanto (30), saat itu panasnya mencapai 39,9 derajat
Celcius dan sempat dilarikan ke Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) dr
Moewardi.
"Awalnya, dikemoterapi di rumah sakit selama 14 hari. Baru pulang
kemarin (Kamis). Minggunya badannya panas tinggi 39,9 derajat celcius
dan muntah," kata Wanto.
Wanto dan istrinya, Etik Susilowati (29), mengaku sangat kehilangan
karena Samara baru saja merayakan ulang tahun pertama pada 10 April 2020
lalu.
"Tadi dimakamkan sekitar pukul 09.00 WIB," kata Wanto. Seperti diketahui, sejak jari tangannya bengkak usai digigit kutu kucing, Samara rutin jalani kemoterapi.
