Keduanya begitu menikmati kehidupan bertaninya meski sudah renta.
Baik dari mengurus ternak, hingga mengurus perkebunan dilakoninya sendiri.
Menggendong hasil panen ke arah jalan raya besar, Margaretha naik angkot menuju pasar untuk menjual sayur-sayuran.

Margaretha memiliki delapan buah hati, namun empat anak awalnya meninggal semua pada usia sekitar 3 atau 4 bulan.
Kala itu hidup masih susah, sehingga tidak mampu hidup berkecukupan. Perjuangannya selama ini telah membuahkan hasil mengagumkan.
Tidak Butuh dengan Kemewahan
Margaretha beberapa kali diajak ke rumah mewah Raymundus. Namun saat ditinggal bertugas sebentar, tiba-tiba sudah tidak ada.
Margaretha dan suami pulang lagi ke desa mengendarai ojek tanpa berpamitan.
