Vaksin diuji pada pasien di atas 18 tahun di 3 rumah sakit di Wuhan yaitu Wuhan Rest Center Chinese People's Armed Police Force, Hubei Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention dan Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. 250 orang diberi dosis menengah, 125 orang diberi dosis rendah, dan 125 orang lagi diberi placebo. Target penelitian selesai pada 31 Januari 2021.

2. ChAdOx1

Universitas Oxford di Inggris mengembangkan vaksin bernama ChAdOx1. Vaksin ini sudah dalam fase 1 atau 2.

Uji klinik menargetkan 1.112 orang dari usia 18-55 yang terbagi dalam 4 kelompok yang diberi dosis berbeda-beda. Uji coba ini diperkirakan baru selesai pada Mei 2021.

3. INO-4800

Perusahaan Inovio yang disokong dana dari Co-founder Microsoft Bill Gates juga mengembangkan vaksin dengan plasma DNA. Vaksin ini sudah masuk fase 1 uji coba manusia.

Nama vaksinnya adalah INO-4800 yang dicobakan kepada 40 orang yang dibagi dalam 2 grup yang diberi dosis berbeda-beda. Vaksin dimasukan dengan alat elektroporasi bernama Cellectra 2000 yang juga dikembangkan Inovio. Target selesai studi ini April 2021.

4. Inactivated Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia vaccine

Beijing Institute of Biological Products dan Wuhan Institute of Biological Products mengembangkan vaksin Corona dari virus yang dilemahkan. Uji coba vaksin sudah masuk tahap satu.

Vaksin diujikan di Wuzhi County Center for Disease Control and Prevention dan Wuzhi People's Hospital. Jumlah sampel ada ratusan orang yang dibagi dalam puluhan kelompok yang diberikan dosis berbeda-beda. Studi ini ditargetkan selesai 10 November 2021.

5. Inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine

Sinovac Biotech sebagai perusahaan vaksin dari China, mungkin akan menjadi salah satu yang duluan selesai. Uji coba mereka ditargetkan selesai 13 Agustus 2020.

Tahap 1 uji coba pada manusia sudah dilakukan kepada 744 orang berusia 18-59 tahun. Mereka akan diberikan dosis yang berbeda-beda.

6. mRNA-1273

Perusahaan Moderna dari Amerika bersama National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) mengembankan vaksin mRNA-1273. Vaksin ini ditargetkan selesai uji coba pada 1 Juni 2021.

Ada 45 orang berusia 18-55 tahun yang menjadi kelinci percobaan. Mereka diberikan imunisasi dengan dosis berbeda-beda untuk melawan virus Corona.
